Marisabel Jolie
I'm a freelance artist, designer and illustrator often working in a variety of mediums such as watercolor, acrylics, pencil and ink, printmaking, digital, fabric and apparel. Creating art is my form of expression, I pour every ounce of emotion and love into all I create, often drawing inspiration from textures, patterns, colors, people and scenes found in nature and within my daily environment.
I was born in Mexico City, D.F., Mexico but raised in Deep River, Connecticut for most of my childhood. I graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design with a BFA in Apparel Design and began my career by working for a small handbag company before transitioning into Infant wear and Children's wear in NYC. Eventually, an opportunity to focus on family and adventure led my husband and I to the beautiful settings of the high desert in Bend, Oregon.
Aside from art and design, I'm an outdoor, nature and fitness enthusiast. I became a level 1 Crossfit trainer in 2017 and now coach part-time at our local box. My husband and I are raising two young, smart, strong and ambitious girls who enjoy skiing, hiking, mountain biking, swimming, picnicking deep in the forest and staying active year round together.
